Harkens back...

... to simpler times. When my hair was short and pouffy and sometimes spiked, and I wore weird clothes. Now I am wondering, because I can't remember it all, if the music of a wee Irish band is what got my 80s music journey started .... with a crush on the drummer. This band deserves a little more thought considering the impact it had on me, so I will simply start with this:

Funny... Under a Blood Red Sky made me think of Priest, first.

U2 was huge for us, as well... as they were one of the very few secular bands that you could find at the Christian bookstores.

Heh

Geez... are you THAT old?

And ... hey... don't know if you noticed, but I took you up on your dare ... regarding "I cannot sleep". Wrote it and posted it...

I had older brothers, so I started on "classic rock" when I was quite young.

I was 10 years old when "Jailbreak" came out.

Hmmm... I don't remember Thin Lizzy or "Jailbreak", but I do rememeber the song "The Boys are Back in Town", which... I did not know was by that band. Granted it was definitely before I started listening to my own mixed up mixture of music. I'm still on the journey of exploring my musical memories so it will be interesting to see what else comes up.
