So close yet oh so far...

Further to posting some fall photos the other day,
this one begs for further reflection.
Another day perhaps.

great photo.
and I liked the Canadian Army video. I always give props to my Northern Neighbor's efforts in helping the oppressed people of the world. Especially on Facebook.

Thanks.
Yeah, I think it's a great video. I had added it to the sidebar, but then thought, why the heck don't I just put it up top?
And... I'm not on Facebook, not quite my thing.

I love this time of year...the colors of the trees...the cold nights....even the cool holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving. I absolutely hate winter, though.

Hey z!
Is that z-man or z-woman? Heh.

How can you "absolutely hate winter"? It's a season, and shovelling snow is... fun. I could do without below freezing temps, but other than that... it's just cold... and wet...

I hate cold weather. The Winter Queen can go suck an icicle.

I too don't like winter. Shoveling is fun?

I don't know IP, but he does seem a tad strange sometimes. Heh.

Writing on the brain? I thought the same thing but didn't say anything.
I just can't actually say that I don't like winter, even though there are things that I may not like about it. When we do get enough snow to shovel, yes it is fun. Once I am done shovelling I will on occasion end up with a couch or slide in my yard just for fun. Yeah, I'm weird that way.

I mean absolutely no disrespect. I have two teen daughters ('nuf said?) and the idea that there are oppressed people on Facebook, like some poor souls trapped in a looking glass, really seemed funny to me.

I suppose it all depends on what you have to shovel. When I was a kid I had to shovel the stairs and quite a bit of sidewalk. Now I have the sidewalk and more than 50 feet of two-car driveway. It's usually a race to get it done before going to work.

Yeah I know, you did add the "smile, smile" at the end of your comment.

For some reason I thought you had PRE-teen daughters, which is why I figured they might be able to help you with names in the story you had been working on.

And yeah, quantity of snow and having to clear it before work is a pain.

Thanks. Funny thing, right after I made a comment about fall lasting longer than usual, which it had... bam... winter... just like that. There's no easing into the seasons anymore.
