Too young...

...all. (With the exception of the Sergeant, all were young enough to be my kids, and look barely old enough to drive. Does it make you want to rethink or re-evaluate your life?)

It's just hard SG and sad...so sad. I hadn't given that particular angle (they could all be my sons, even Sgt Coupe if I'd become a father at 17 years old)lately but it has often crossed my mind because my son Ian is 25 and gave some though to going to West Point. And K-sue's son is in the US Marine Corps Reserve and he will surely see active duty at some point if this keeps up.

Your right, we always send our children to fight our wars...

Very sad yes. In my peaceful little corner of the world, I grieve in my own little way for the parents' loss.
