I am wondering if I have been struggling more with the writing of words or the actual formulating of thoughts as of late. Some rather unique recent comments have helped to provide some much needed mental motivation in the last few days, in particular from this post. So... in the shower earlier tonight.. around 2AM, a thought came splashing into my mind. Suddenly it dawned on me that I haven't been wasting my life... I have been wasting this soul caged within this body of mine. That is all.
I may pursue this thought another day, but for now... at last... sleep.

Pretty deep thoughts, too deep for me. I'm as shallow as a kids paddling pool but I'm happy with my lot.
"Soul Wastage" SG, I have really come to appreciate more and more your ability to really capture a thought, feeling or hidden meaning with your description. "wasting this soul caged within this body of mine".
And I love how at the end you ponder that you "may pursue this though another day"...you think? I sure hope so because that really caught me attention this morning and has me thinking about that concept in relation to my own existence.
I have not yet posted on Shell Shock this morning, you may have just given me a topic to explore..hmmm.
If the soul lives, and life has a soul, then perhaps a quad venti mocha with a splash of hazelnut generates the appropriate level of awareness.
So, what's next for your soul?
Ryan:
"Shallow as a kids' paddling pool." sounds much better than going off the deep end of a grown up pool with concrete blocks around one's ankles. I'd probably be happier there, but then I wouldn't be me.

I haven't had a chance to read blogs yet today, but it will be interesting to see your bit on "Soul Wastage". I said so little in this post, yet somehow conveyed so much of me with very few words.
Dave:
The soul should live, but in not living, dies, thus creating life without a soul.
"quad venti mocha with a splash of hazelnut" - too complicated for me.
Rebirth...
"Quad venti mocha with a splash of hazelnut"
It is starbuxian for a large choco & hazelnut flavored coffee with 4 shots of espresso.
They don't use Tim Horton's though. Well, perhaps in Canada.
It's a wake-up call in a cup.
Dave:
Ah... figured a Starbucks type thing. And... the four shots of espresso... explains a lot.
