Conundrum

What do you do when the thing that brings you any semblance of joy in your life is something that you can't see, hear, smell, taste or touch?

You do nothing but take time (the quintessence) to enjoy it as you perceive it. Figuring out how will only ruin the experience.

IMO

But... is it not human to want to see, hear, smell, taste and touch?

Depends upon your definition of humanity.

Not to be facetious, but if a thing is so unmateriel that you can not sense it, then it is not meant for your enjoyment through the senses, but through the manner in which you percieve it.

Perception = enjoyment.

Yes, I agree that the perception of it is enjoyment, but what if it is like a big, thick juicy steak? Except that it is unmaterial and you can't eat it. Imagine... you can't hear or smell it sizzling on the grill, can't see the juices running out of it, can't sink your teeth into it nor taste it?

Actually, I can imagine it. My analog is my paycheque. I never see it, taste, touch, hear, or smell it, but it makes my creditors very happy. My paycheque is also fast. It empties at the Speed of Lint, which is faster than the Speed of Light.

Ah... it makes your creditors happy, but does it make you happy? That would be the question. Does a paycheque bring you some semblance of joy? (I recently asked myself a similar question regarding my previous life/job.)
