Sighted on an early morning drive 2 days ago: yearling buffaloes with a coat of frost on their humped shoulders.
Cool. Bison or buffalo? (I had to ask... as it is a line from that song Ballyhoo and Bedbugs by Echo and the Bunnymen, that I referred to.)
These are the buffalo known scientifically as "bison bison bison" (American plains bison), which sounds like an early 70s bubblegum song. To warm up, these bison went on a doo run run run a doo run run.
