Nasal drip!!! Gah... I should have said nasal drip instead, but snot was what came out.

Well, yes. Snot comes out with nasal drip, and of course there's the ever popular blowing of snot bubbles (concurrent with crying).
Crying is cathartic, and therefore is a purgative (rather like watching the Senators win, eh?). Alongside tears, there is snot, nasal drip, and an occasional venting of the colon.
Or is that TMI?
I think you should leave your colon out of it. So, yes, too much information.
