Excitement escalating...

I had posted a link to this under "How Cool is This" on my sidebar way back when it first came out, but removed it when I revamped the blog. So... I have decided to post it here now...

... because, I wanted some sort of segue to posting the trailer to Thor, starring a rather hairy but hot-looking Chris Hemsworth (James T. Kirk's dad in Star Trek). Now when I first saw the piece-meal leaked trailer, I thought it looked a little cheesy, but now after seeing this, I can't wait to watch it.

The last few years, excluding 2009, I spent my quiet New Year's Eve with Vin Diesel. This year however there doesn't seem to be anyone to fit the bill. The Thor trailer, or rather Chris Hemsworth as Thor, reminded me that I have yet to decide on the company with whom I should ring in the new year. I'm thinking maybe "The Other Guys", but Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg don't pack quite the same punch as Vin. Decisions, decisions.

So what are you doing New Year's Eve?

Probably my usual... watching "The Shining". Always a holiday favorite. Hahahaahah...

I am anxious for "Thor" to hit theaters as well. Plans for NYE... just spending it with my family. Maybe watch a couple family films like "The Last Airbender" or something.

You slay me man. Jack's a little too freaky. Maybe Sean of the Dead instead?

I haven't yet seen either "The Last Airbender" or "The Sorceror's Apprentice", but they are easy-watching options. Or with younger kids, Shrek 4 (or is it 3?) which I haven't seen yet either.

Oops... my bad. Shawn, not Sean.

I'd definitely count Shaun as one of my favorites, but watching it is right out... someone has borrowed my copy! My SECOND copy...

Obviously, I'm not the only one who appreciates that movie... ;)

Hah... Sean, Shawn, Shaun.. whatever... Simon Pegg kills me. So although Shaun (Just went to go check the spelling.)was hilarious, I only have one copy of that, but TWO of Hot Fuzz, which I just l... loved.

I liked Hot Fuzz even better than Shaun.

Hated Star Trek (bad, BAD science, BAD military).

Hey, Thor looks like a blond me. Kidding.

Happy New Year.

IP!
Happy New Year back.
Yeah I liked Hot Fuzz MORE than Shaun, which is why I have both the regular DVD and the special edition with EXTRA special extra features.
Aren't you Mr poopyhead about Star Trek. I LOVED it... BECAUSE it was a throwback to what I remember of the show on TV when I was little, but it was done better. You were probably EXPECTING WAY TOO MUCH from it!
THOR LOOKS LIKE A BLONDE YOU! OMG...Bwahahahahaha. Heh. You do remember that there are photos of you on your blog right?

Uh.. yeah, I did see the "Kidding" part on your comment, but I couldn't resist the Bwahahahaha. Don't get to do that very often.

Okay...Just watched "Shaun of the Dead" and prefer "Hot Fuzz". Thinking of becoming a vegetarian...

BTW: T1G sounds like the male version of you...

Big Sis:
Yeah... I figured you borrowed it from me so you could post a comment on this one.

Wha?

Just wanted some variation to watch before "The Preacher's Wife".

FYI: My favorite part of SOTD was when the "army guys" all jumped out of vehicles, coming to the rescue.

Gremlin2 especially liked "the record-throwing" scene. Also made some comment on what he doesn't want to grow up to be like...
How 'bout that? SOTD had some "teachable moments"!

Big Sis:
I told Gremlin2 when he asked that I didn't think he should watch it.
