I'm not sure if it's okay to "Smile" at this posting, I'm just glad you've kept up the remembering. The 3rd Friday of every September is POW/MIA National Recognition Day, do Canadians have something similar?

I believe the "Smile" on this post is probably from someone who simply appreciates the fact that someone who has no ties to the U.S. military does remember.
I did know there was such a day in the U.S., but not one here as far as I know.
