Hmm... when last I looked, I had noticed...
Posts 1489...
Comments 2489... This seems rather odd, but the high comment to post ratio would be due mostly to a non-blogger dude this past year. Thanks DaveO.
My blog is mostly dead. I had a surge last night, but other than that I think it is just ... twitching... It's hard to tell.

I really don't think there are any numerical requirements with this blogging thing...when you want to post something, post it. Simple as that. Over the last 6 months the length, quantity and quality of my posts have all gone down but I know it's just a lull. If the blog exists....then it IS.
I agree with Thom. I go through phases, and lately I haven't been writing much; that includes commenting on others' blogs. I read, I try to keep up, but nothing is needing to pour out of my brain and onto the screen.
Blog for yourself, not for anyone else.

and thank you Spockgirl - it is not the numbers but what you express that elicits response.
And BACONNNN !
Thanks y'all...
Ah... I've always had a fascination of sorts for numbers... started as a kid. But no, the "blog is mostly dead" part isn't about the numbers of visitors or comments... It is a reference to me, the blog being a reflection of me being "mostly dead"... I haven't even had the desire to read blogs, let alone write anything... I didn't even miss it in my lapses.
I was just thinking that I have come completely full circle since I got my very first computer on December 21, 2009... just over three years ago, and started the blog on March 7, 2010. I am once again a blank slate... life, mind and ... blog... And when I say "blank", I mean completely blank which is... rather... disconcerting to say the least.
DaveO:
I picture your mind as a moving abstract painting.
Bacon... yes... I bought a package of bacon just before Christmas, as a splurge, for the first time in maybe a decade... I have not yet finished it.
You mean like Paula Deen meets Edvard Munch?
Cool!
Had to go agoogling for that. And, no, I wouldn't be able to cite an abstract painter, but there is one sitting in my brain somewhere. (No, not me, the name of the painter.) Munch wasn't considered abstract was he? I'm thinking of more "abstract", as in things completely out of alignment, not space-time congruent, brightly coloured, moving.
You mean like Obamacare?
Obamacare is brightly coloured and moving?
I referred to "completely out of alignment"
Unicorn farts, however, are brightly coloured and moving.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH!
