So we lament about summer taking too long to arrive, and it does with such awesome force that I wasn't even aware that the Peace rose had bloomed in the backyard. The temperature went from 14 c (57F) one day to 34 c (93F) in the matter of two days. The differential is crazy, giving no time for anything to acclimate.
I was never fond of yellow flowers, but this rose has always held a special place in the garden for its hardy nature, fullness, soft tone and pale pink blush around the edges.
